Dealers seem to be very unhelpful about ordering a new car, what's going on?

I want to order a new Skoda Kodiaq. You'd think that Skoda dealers would be biting my hand off post-lockdown, but no. They don't know what models they can order and they don't know what delivery date they can offer me. I went onto the Skoda UK online chat and they say all models are available to order. Do you know what the heck is going on? Are they discontinuing certain variants? Are they changing the Kodiaq for the 2021 model year? Thanks.

This is most-likely down to the COVID-19 lockdown. Factories are only just starting to resume full production and it'll take sometime for things to get back to normal. Some carmakers are already quoting six-month lead times for factory orders: www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/coronavirus/2020-06/coro...s
