  I've just purchased a 2020 Ford Grand Torneo Connect (passenger version of the Transit Connect). It's got one of these ridiculous keyless ignotions because car companies appear to think turning a key is so 20th century. There have been a lot of car thefts in our neighbourhood although I think they have been premium cars rather than anything as utilitarian as a Ford mini van.

  Pulling the internal handle will open the door, but the lock remains applied, if that makes sens; the hanle is still facing inwards, like ford's do when the lock is applied. We've looked through these forums, and while we can see that Fords are prone to experience issues with their locks, we haven't found anyone with exactly our problem.

  Thanks. I live in Italy so have a Ford fitted LPG system 2ltr petrol. Hyundai i30 only lost as they don't do a factory fit lpg system so Italy gov. incentives are not as generous. ( Ford equivalent road tax exempt for car life ) Also as long term purchase cost and availability of parts long term was a factor, and it seems that a lot of car racers use the ford 2 ltr duratech for tuning so must be strong and easy to work on.

  VW continue with the transverse format whilst Audi prefer N/S.  But are the benefits of equal length drive shafts overplayed ? And does North South make changing cambelts more complex. And alter the balance of the car? Grateful your views?
