  Hi guys, I would like to buy a cheap used car and the majority of cars that I can find within my budget are Peugeot(2006-2011), Vauxhall Astra and Corsa(2005-2010), Ford Fiesta (2005-2011) and Ford KA (2005-2010) I am not really bothered about speed and aesthetics, all I care about is it being able to handle long journeys without problems that generally come up with cheap cars like Citroen.

  I have a problem with my Ford Galaxy 2014 and ia kinda baffling me. After driving the car for a while the engine just stalls while idling. When i try to restart the engine it wont even turn . The battery is ok , all lights show up on the dash board , all seems is fine but the engine wont start or even try to turn.

  Hi folks, Hope I'm posting this in the right place, if not apologies! Just replaced the battery in a Ford Fiesta 06 plate and of course the radio has now been rebooted. I don't have a code or a manual to refer to which has left me a bit stumped. Tried holding in '6' and '1' to get the serial number and it has given me the following info:   06 00 06 CD-KW-8 05 01 02 SWP1 1-6561 SWP2 14C044 SWP3 AB SWP 4 (nothing) As far as I can see none of these represent a serial number.

  I am lead to believe I may be getting a dashcam  for Christmas, and to have somewhere to plug it in I guess I need to get this sorted. Does anyone know what the Ford part number is for the cigarette lighter in my car - it's between the gearstick and the cupholders in the middle of the car as shown here and currently has a cap saying 'power outlet - 12V' on it.

   just bought a Ford Focus 2012 plate from a Ford Dealership on the 09/04/2018. I was briefly told about the Powershift transmission, I mean they didn't mention the issues with it of course but afterwards I have seen that there are wide spread issues with this transmission.

  Hi Everybody, I have a 2006 Ford Focus with a Sony Radio. I put the car into the garage over christmas and took an initial hit on a fly wheel and clutch. Then I suffered a killer blow when I drove off and realised my radio didn't work any more.

  I have 2 keys but 1 is rounded off and wont turn the ignition, it just has the keyfob on it to lock unlock car. i have a nother key that was cut at TIMPSONS that starts the car but obviously now it wont turn over as immobiliser is on. do i need to just re-code the FOB or do i need a new key cut or is a ford job?   Thanks in advance for any help

  Hello all, I had the standard Ford Focus turbo failure. I'm pretty sure it was due to a blocked oil strainer. I went for the refurbished BTN turbo with the fitting kit including the new oil feed pipe, banjo bolts, gaskets and copper seals.

  Hi All, my wife runs a 2002 Ford Ka. 1.3 duratec engine, 60k or so, serviced fairly recently. I have noticed when I maneuver it, i can smell an unpleasant smell, not eggy, not like oil smoke. A mechanic (who was sorting something else) commented that he thought it smelt like it was running a bit rich.

  I have recently had a problem with my heater in a ford fiesta always blowing hot air. I had a look at the HCV and found that this was broken (plunger had broke inside) and replaced it. This has not fixed the probem as i'm still getting hot air even on cold.

  I have a problem in that inserting the bottle just spills the product on the ground via the overflow. I bought a baby one shot bottle with the same result. The problem is not capacity but the Ford misfuel inhibitor which won't open except naturally for a fuel pump. I tried a funnel and flexible hose with the same result, prod and poke but the fuel filler neck has been designed to incorporate contact points that open an internal fuel flap only when the larger diesel pump nozzle applies pressure on them.

  Hi, I have 2004 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi that has done 91k miles that is making a chirping / squealing sound from the top left of the engine compartment.   Also there is some sort of fluid (not sure what, as I can't see where its coming from and no fluid levels have dropped) over the left hand side of the engine compartment.

  Hi, I'm thinking of buying a Focus in 'Candy Red' - this is apparently a 'tri-coat' paint. My current car (a ford in 'Midnight Blue' metalic) looks fantastic even though it's getting on for 7 years old now [it is washed/waxed on a regular basis]. Candy Red looks great 'today' - but I'm worried if it's likely to fade (you see a lot of old faded red cars on the road) - and also if it's any more likey to chip (or show the chips) than a regular metalic etc.
