Mondeo TDCi Oil Level 2 May 2006 (Forum)
The dipstick is a wire type with a plastic gauge piece at the end. The whole of the plastic gauge part is covered in oil when dipped, well over the max mark, and I'm pretty sure the dipstick is coming out without dragging on the sides of the tube. I've dipped it whilst stone cold and it's parked on the level. The handbook doesn't specify the best time to dip, should I only dip after the engine has been run after waiting for a couple of minutes? -
Towing Caravans 12 Aug 2004 (Forum)
"It follows, I suggest, that if your RPM are lower at any time than the point at which it develops max torque, you should change down so as to return to the 'happy' figure!!" Are my suggestions correct? I have searched previous threads and the most relevant comment I found was from Darren on 25/2/04 when he said "If towing caravan, torque is everything".....please enlarge on this. -

Omega...Worth a try? 18 Jun 2003 (Forum)
However, now that I'm getting old and past it I've found that I can get very cheap insurance on this sort of car...so I'm gonna go for it. I'm pretty poor so I'm only looking to spend around £1000 to £1500 max, but I don't do a huge amount of miles per annum..less than 8000 a year. I'd like something with lots of toys, like air con and stuff, and I've started looking at Vauxhall Omegas, cos I like the styling and I've heard they are a nice drive. -
Kenlowe Hot-Start 7 Feb 2001 (Forum)
Well, in the Focus' crowded engine bay, it is most certainly not DIY - took a qualified motor engineer nearly 2 hours. Next, it takes the Focus much longer than the claimed 20 mins to reach max temp (about 50-60 mins for the tdi). Also, make sure you use metal junctions on the heater pipes, unless you like replacing the coolant frequently! Does it do any good? Dunno, really - mpg appears about the same, but it IS nice to get into a warm car on a cold morning. -
Honda Jazz ES 2013 - Jazz, 3 months later. 1 May 2018 (Forum)
On the road, the drive isn’t anywhere near as poor as I was led to believe by some comments on this forum. Ok, the steering doesn’t have the directness of a Ford, and there is some body roll, but certainly no worse than the roll I experienced in the B Max. There’s plenty of power for round town, despite the limitations of a 99bhp 1.3 engine, and on the motorway the Jazz will cruise comfortably all day long. -

Wonderful Range Rover USA service 13 Dec 2001 (Forum)
Perhaps some of you would be interested in how Ford is treating the owners of some of it's newly aquired assets over here in the U.S.A. Ford Focus Estate - Older Ford Focus 2.0 tdci 7 Sep 2015 (Forum)
I'm in the market for a second car for myself as I hand over my current one to my wife for daily driving. Budget around 3000.- I found a good candidate in a 06 Ford Focus 2.0 tdci with 167,000 mi on the clock. I'm assured all motorway miles. Otherwise the car is in good condition, with all service done regularly at a Ford garage. My only concern is when I test drove it there was a good bit of white smoke during the first few minutes of driving and the motor was ever so slightly rough. -
Ford Ka - Storage Space 23 Aug 2014 (Forum)
Within the last few days I have taken possession of a New Ford Ka Zetec. I have had two of these models previously and no problems and was expecting the new Zetec to be the same. Each of thes cars had underseat storage space under the front passenger seat, very handy , the new car has not got this storage space, Ford have done away with it.which is their right, however, no indication from the dealer nor in the glossy booklet, it has simply not been mentioned,. -
