  Judging from my wife´s A3 1.6 of 2002, I am trying to convince them that the A4 with 1.6 engine is hardly an improvement after the "lazy" Golf 1.4 . I did try to find the specs. for the A4 1.6 in the net but without any luck...

  Also, with the green light on, if I press the "S" button, type the code, then the "S" button again it bleeps a few times very quickly. Then when I turn the ignition off the red light comes on and stays on for a few seconds AND it bleeps four times which doesn't seem to be documented at all!!

  Hello there. Was just wondering if it is possible to fit Ford 95 ABA 610208 AA pretensioners instead of Ford 95 ABA 610208 AB units. From the information that I can track down on the internet, there does not seem to be any vast difference between the units apart from the AA and AB sufixes and the year of models fitted to.

  When the revised Galaxy and Mondeo come on stream in the next month or so, it will be goodbye Ghia - Ford is dropping what was once the ultimate in luxury (for a Ford). Titanium or Titanium X is the new black, by all accounts (sadly abbreviated by Ford salesmen as Tit or Tit X). I remember dashing Granadas, Mk1 Fiestas and Mk 4 Cortinas wearing the badge with pride back in the 1970s - the Ford price lists will seem a bit empty without them, or is it just me?

  The Ford Focus Style models come with "Design" wheels according to the Ford website. From the photo they look like alloy wheels, but are not described as alloy wheels. Higher models in the range (e.g. Zetec) have wheels that are described as alloy wheels.

  ford's new powershift gearbox, i have not seen any reviews of the new focus using the powershift gearbox and wondered if anyone out there has had a test drive using this configuration. what was your opinion of this setup. i have test driven the vag dsg setup in a leon tdi, which i was impressed with and was wondering if the ford system matched up. thanks

  Currently have astra diesel estate which is not enjoying the short journeys. My issue is I can afford a 2015 vehicle but given that the battery is only warrantied for 8 years or 100,000 miles, will the car be worth much in say 3-5 years time if I want to change it. I understand a new battery pack costs £4500 at present.

  Wonder if somebody can advise. 2 years ago I went from running my own car to a company car. For the sake of a couple of months I just let my own insurance run to its expiry (Dec 2015). I had 10 yrs NCB at that point. I have had no claims since (touch wood!!) Fast forward to now, and I hope to have my - currently SORNed - project car finished and on the road for next spring. I will insure on a classic policy when the time comes.

   The side walls on my front tyres are showing evidence of some cracking.   Now, the tyres were purchased by me from an online company in November 2015 (15 months ago) and have plenty of tread still left on them (about 5mm).   I will be contacting the company who I purchased them from to see what they say about it but would it also be worth contacting the manufacturer directly?

  I've read numerous threads about DSG and clutches but can't find info I am looking for.   Just bought a 2015 Octavia 1.6 TDI DSG which I believe to have a dry dual clutch. I am using at as a taxi so lots of stop start motoring approx 50k a year. Can any the tech guys tell me the anticipated life of the clutch.

  General Motors has announced that it is to stop selling Chevrolet models in European markets – including the UK – from the end of 2015. The Chevrolet brand arrived in the UK in 2005, effectively replacing Daewoo. But it hasn’t been successful GM, causing financial losses every year.   The move to stop selling Chevrolet models will allow GM to give Vauxhall/Opel its fullest concentration.

  We have just acquired a Ford with 2.0lt Zetec engine. It was bought privately and as the oil level was slightly low, I topped it up with Ford Spec. E oil 5W/30 as recommended by Ford. The service history has now been sent on and although the first two services were at Ford Dealers, the latest was at a garage who used Magnatec.
