  I am looking at buying my first brand new car, as opposed to the old bangers I usually buy, and as I have cash and no part exchange I have taken Honest John's advice and am looking at buying from an Internet Broker. There are so many to choose from I am hoping for some advice or details of recent personal experiences from other forum users to assist me.

  I have used the find a car facility on HJ,s website and noted the online brokers results appear usually towards the top of the page ( because of the advertised price) I wonder does anyone know if these online car buying site that appear are regulated or members of any retail type organisation. ?

  I know that Google's own preferences may be set to search for reults in a particular language, but very often I want to search google.com .I guess the language option is set by a cookie,but I regularly clean out cookies as a matter of habit. Even if I manually insert the .com in the address bar it changes to the Spanish address, (yes I am in Spain with a Spanish fixed I.P address), on activating the search. Does any one know how to ensure that ALL Google searches to to the .com site?

  Looking at buying a Leaf from a dealership at the other end of the country and can't travel to pick it up, so doing as a distance sale. Obviously this comes with pros and cons that I've carefully considered. I intend to mitigate some cons by getting a competant pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle - but have read some comments online about AA/RAC inspections being a total waste of time and carried out by staff who commonly miss issues.

  My son has asked for a car amplifier for his birthday. Never needed on myself so I wouldn't have a clue what to look for or what is best to buy. I've been using a classified ads comparison website to see what different brands and models are for sale online here in the Rep of Ireland (http://www.for-sale.ie/car-amplifier) but I'm still none the wiser really.

  I did get into a brief provisional chat with one of the salesmen who said that there is "no negotiation on price" in this sort of sales site. Really? I`ve never encountered that before - but then I usually buy new and negotiate down to online retail prices, or below - as with the current van.

  hi everyone about 3 weeks ago my dpf had to be replaced as the old one had clogged up and blew 2 pipes of all of this was rectified but a couple of days ago the car went into limp home mode i scanned for fault codes and got one relating to the dpf and when i checked the saturation level with op com it was at 96% which i find hard to believe as since having the new one fitted it has barely done 200 miles could the mechanic have missed something do you need to tell the ecu a new dpf has been fitted as i noticed there is an option in op com to do this any advice would be great many thanx and a happy new year to u all graham sorry fogot to mention its a zafira b 2005 1.9cdti (120)
