rover 214, squeeling brakes 29 Jul 2006 (Forum)
I have been told that it's commoan for the pads to stick and some copper grease spray should help. It doesn't seem to be effecting the braking and light braking actually reduces the noise. Anyone had any experience in this? Is it an easy job to get to the right areas to spray the grease? No exsperience in mechanics as you may have guessed, so give it to me simple! -
Brake development 28 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Was just wondering that on many cars there have been huge developments in braking quality over the years with the development of discs, ABS and now all sorts of Emergency Brake Assist. Is there further development out there to make cars stop even quicker or are we now at the stage that they are going to be as good as they get? -

Ford fiesta whistle on braking 20 Jan 2005 (Forum)
I noticed last night whilst stationary my 96 1.25 ford fiesta made a strange whistling noise if I pressed the brake pedal lightly. If I then pressed it a little harder the noise stopped. If I then turn the engine off I hear a noise like a balloon going down for maybe 5 or 6 seconds, pressing the brake pedal makes the noise stop sooner. -
Citroen and stop/start Eco C3 5 Jan 2005 (Forum)
I read somewhere that Citroen are launching a C3 with Eco feature, this being that as soon as the car stops and providing you keep your foot on the brake, the engine cuts out. The engine restarts in 0.4 secs as soon as you release the foot brake. What does the law say on sitting in traffic with just your brakes applied, and what would you feel about being stuck behind a car that has their brake lights on for ages whilst waiting in traffic? -
Renault Clio 1996 - Brake light problem 21 Jul 2004 (Forum)
My sister's clio has developed an intermittent fault with brake lights. They will either flicker on and off or stay on while the brake pedal is not being used. I only noticed this recently because I was following her car I assumed it was the earth on the rear light clusters but they looked like new and were tight connections. -

I will shortly have to replace the disc pads and understand that three different manufacturers supply the full brake assembly to SEAT and that replacement disc pads are not fully interchangeable. The caliper has FS 111 or lll on the casting. Can anybody help by identifying the manufacturer? Thanks -
