Fewer 'glass palaces'? 15 Feb 2025 (Forum)
Some reasons I thought why this may be the case, Glass palaces too expensive to run. New cars sales dominated by very large groups. Stratstone (Pendragon group) and Sytner in case of Merc and Audi above. Change in buying habits and shopping online for best deals. Buyers aren't buying the affected brands. -
Peugeot - 03 2.0 PSA Group VAG-COM Equivalent Recommendation 24 Jun 2009 (Forum)
I'm looking to get something along the lines of VAG-COM to use on my Peugeot Partner HDI. It seems there are various interfaces / pieces of software out there you can pick up to do this, so has anyone out there got any direct comparative experience of these which they could pass on and use to recommend a combo of interface / software which would enable me to read / reset fault codes etc, on my car. -

Skoda Yeti - Notifying DVLA of sale to trader 20 Jun 2024 (Forum)
They are sending a transporter over today and he’s making a few stops, collecting a few cars and getting to me this evening, which is fine. I’m worried that the online DVLA notification isn’t available after 7pm. Obviosuly I’ll make sure payment is taken prior to them taking the car but should I give them them V5C and then notify online tomorrow morning or should I do it the old way and complete yellow section 4 and keep that and post it off, rather than doing it online? -

I'm considering buy a car from private. ad posted to gumtree. The guy at the meeting is not the owner in the logbook. Apparently the actual owner is a friend not living in uk anymore. I've asked to rename the owner on registration document, otherwise I won't buy the car and he's done it online and will wait for new logbook with his name. that said, the logbook he showed me didn't have the V5C/3 part. -

Removing engine badge 19 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Being an anonymous sort of cove, I'd like to remove the engine badge from the rear of the car. I once read that a combination of hairdryer (to soften the glue) and dental floss (to avoid scratches) worked. Has anyone tried it, or a better idea? -

They have been caught speeding and offered a speed awareness course, but as they wish to keep their anonymity (highly embarrassing for the person concerned and all that), would like to know if a 'private' (one to one) SAC could be offered. Thoughts please. -

Skoda Rapid Spaceback - Selling to a car buying service - my experience 2 Aug 2017 (Forum)
I've just noticed my old car is now back for sale on Autotrader. I sold the Rapid to a car buying service and found the process simple and "relatively" transparent. The car was a late 2014 1.2 TSi and had covered 20k miles.
