Overall reliability

Spacious, 100% reliable and well designed

Now hit 27,000 miles, not a bulb has gone and still on original tyres with plenty of tread left.

Firm ride but not harsh, handles well, steers nicely, quick enough, autobox is smooth and responsive.

Interior is exceptionally spacious given its shorter than a Fiesta, tilting/sliding rear bench is useful, tinted rear windows a bonus in summer though air con is very effective.

40 mpg on normal unleaded, 43 on Super. Not that cheap to tax but much the same as similar automatics.

Paint quality second to none, interior trim is fair durable, quite stylish and adequate for this end of the market.

Excellent car for young family or the elderly, a sort of sucessor to the Yaris Verso.

No worries about Daihatsu leaving the UK, parts readily available though it has only ever needed service items. No cambelt so no big services either.

A hidden gem.
