Audi revises A7 range

Published 15 August 2014

Audi has revised the A7 line up, with improved economy, lower emissions and overhauled styling. Prices start from £45,875 and rise to £84,480 for the high-performance RS7. The car is available to order now with first deliveries expected in late 2014.

Externally there are new light designs front and rear. More important are the tweaks to the engine range, including a new Ultra model with a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine. This produces 218PS and 400Nm of torque, with a 0-62mph time of 7.3 seconds, yet it has official economy of 60.1mpg and emissions of 122g/km. It’s offered with front-wheel drive and an S Tronic seven-speed transmission as standard

The diesel range also includes a more powerful 272PS TDI V6 with quattro all-wheel drive, while the top diesel is a 320PS biTDI quattro with 650Nm of torque. Those who need a petrol-powered A7 can choose a 333PS six-cylinder supercharged engine – again with quattro all-wheel drive.

The high-performance S7 has been revised too, gaining 30PS, up to 450PS. It also benefits from a 10g/km reduction in CO2 emissions, down to 215g/km, plus a slight increase in economy up to 30.4mpg. The range-topping 560PS RS7 also gets very slight economy and emissions improvements, but with no power increase.

New interior materials, colours and trim inlays are available across the range and the MMI infotainment system has been improved. Top versions of the MMI navigation system use a new high-speed internet connectivity system to keep occupants online. Additionally S line trim has been revised so users can specify comfort-oriented wheels and suspension in place of the firmer Sport items that were previously standard.
