61-Plate: Monthly deals under £500

Many buyers find it easier to pay for their new car monthly rather than to buy outright – particularly the more expensive models. If you’re looking for a 61-plate car then we’ve compiled a list of some of the best available from our deals section.

All of the below are available for less than £500 per month – but if you’re on a tighter budget we’ve got a list of cars for less than £250 per month, which you can find here.

10. Audi A5 Convertible
Everyone wants an Audi, it seems, and the A5 is perhaps the most ‘Audi’ of them all –a quick, understated, technologically advanced luxury car that’ll make the neighbours jealous, especially when the roof is down. Prices start at £492 per month.

9. BMW 5 Series
The latest generation 5 Series models are fuel efficient, luxurious, well built, well appointed and spacious. There’s very little to fault with even the basic 520d model, which can be yours from £486 per month.

8. Mercedes-Benz E-Class
The 5 Series’ arch-rival, it’s difficult to say which is the superior car of the two; both offer impressive economy, refinement and luxury, so it really comes down to personal preference. The E-Class starts at £461 per month.

7. Nissan 370Z
Luxury is always a lovely thing to have, but if you’re more interested in power and performance then perhaps the brutish 370Z coupe will suit your tastes a little more. It’s available from £446 per month.

6. SAAB 9-5
SAAB may be in financial trouble, but there’s no doubting the SAAB 9-5 has enough Scandinavian style to appeal to most. There’s plenty of interesting SAAB touches, too, including a heads-up display. The 9-5 is available from £422 per month.

5. Lexus CT 200h
The newest Lexus is exceptionally frugal and produces very little CO2, meaning it’s congestion charge exempt and free road tax but with the benefit of a comfy, luxurious interior. It’s available from £371 per month.

4. Volvo V60
It might not have the gigantic boot of older Volvo estates, but it’s much more appealing thanks to its fairly rewarding handling, wonderful Scandinavian styled interior, clever safety tech and generous equipment. It’s available from £365 per month.

3. Abarth 500C
Some cars serve the function of fashion accessory just as well as they do as a form of transport. One such car is the Abarth 500, a shouty, speedy version of the otherwise cute Fiat 500. Better yet is the cabrio model, which is available from £337 per month.

2. Peugeot RCZ
Peugeot’s gloriously beautiful TT rival is probably the best car from the French company in a long while. It’s easy to drive quickly and turns more heads than its Audi arch-nemesis. Even so, it’s not too far out of reach thanks to finance packages starting from £321 per month.

1. Skoda Superb
Much loved by owners, the Superb is a well-equipped car which rivals some far more upmarket machinery in terms of quality. It’s also available with a variety of engines to suit everyone from the frugal to the speed addict. Couple that with a spacious cabin, excellent build and finance packages from £306 per month and it makes for a compelling car.

Whether you’re looking for finance deals, brand new cars to buy outright or used models, check out the deals section – you’ll find a collection of deals from all over the country on cars and even on vans.
