Toyota Avensis - best time to buy car? - TR7

Hi I am looking to change my car. Does anyone know the best time i.e before or after Christmas. I am looking at 2 to 3 year old Toyota avensis. I need to change before March in line with my car allowance rules.

Any advice is appreciated.

Garages are very quiet from mid-Nov till well after Xmas.

2013 1st Jan regs are not really a busy time- most punters wait for March,

Sell your car privately and the garages would welcome 1 x less cars on their forecourt!

"They say" that you may get a better deal just before the month end as Salesmen are chasing bonuses.

Not sure that this still holds water, but between Christmas and New Year may be a good time to go car shopping.
