2005 Audi A4 2.0 TDI (140BHP) - Thermostat type - paddyjoesoap
Hi,

I have a 2005 Audi A4 2.0 TDI and the temperature gauge barely moves above 50 degrees if at all. Somethings rises the width of the needle above the 50 degree mark. The car blows (luke-warm) hot air still.

I think the termostat may be faulty (or perhaps has been taken out, I just bought the car and having lots of trouble so far).

Does anyone have a picture of the thermostat for that car?

Would my thermostat look like this:

or

I think the auto shop I spoke to on the phone has the first (regular looking) one.

regards,
patrick

Do not mess about with pattern stats go and buy one from an VW/Audi dealer and a new 'O' ring and Antifreeze G 012 A8F A1- (also designated as “G12+”) only use this. Regards Peter

Agree, and the reason for using G12 is it doesn't harm the seals on the fuel cooler, unlike some other anti-freeze types......
