Is it okay to leave my EV parked for a month at the airport?

I have just purchased a Citroen e-C3 EV Max. Twice a year I go away for a month and leave my car at the airport after a month but would the EV battery have drained too much to restart. I had a 73 plate C3 petrol and of course it has been okay laid for a month always started but just thought about the difference with my new C3 being battery.

It is fine to leave your electric vehicle parked for a month or more, but we would suggest a few things to ensure it is in perfect health when you return.

Charge the vehicle to 80% capacity before it is parked - this is the optimum state of charge and will allow for a slight loss of charge during this time, but it is estimated that EVs lose no more than 3% of their charge per month. We would also suggest deactivating any online features such as wifi or automatic updates to reduce any drain on the battery, and if your vehicle has an energy saving or power saving mode it would be worth activating this also.

We would also suggest consulting the vehicle handbook for any guidance that is specific to your vehicle.
