Toyota Carina E 2.0i - Adjustable valves or not - Gregory II

Hi

I have a Carina E 2.0i. I am interested to know if the valves are hydraulic valves or ones that can be adjusted. I would very much appreciate if you would be able to let me know if these engines have valves that can be adjusted at all.

I assume not, but the owners manual in the car says that it is.

Your advice would be very much appreciated.

I wonder if someone might be familiar with this engine? I get the feeling it has shims but I cannot be sure!

hi all the carina e engines are bucket and shim and usually wont require adjusting for many years
