Vauxhall Vectra B 1.9 CDTI 150 bhp 54-55 plate - Lack of power on take off - RPH

Vectra with serious lack of pulling power when taking off, recently bought in auction, loads of work carried out on it and only 55.000 miles hence reason for purchase.

New manifold EGR valve etc etc, but local V/Hall tech cannot "Fix" it says its a waste of time and get shut?? surely a car on a 54 - 55 plate should be repairable, any ideas anyone, please.

Sounds like you need to find a new mechanic, maybe a diesel specialist first off. Do these have variable turbos?

i assume that you mean a vectra c with that engine in it !!! are there any trouble codes stored and one can assume no history at al,l but all you have are those symptoms, what has been checked by your guy ?,Regards TB
