Liteace 94 2.0 not changing gears - canaidianjohn
hi i hope someone can help me?

We bought a import liteace, it ran ok till we got home then over heated, so we were told it needed a new head.
We had it changed, it went ok, then over heated again.
It had a hole in the rad so we had it changed, but they towed it back.
Now we have it home the engine runs ok but no transmision.
Has it got a safe mode on it, because its an automatic and is stuck in third gear when we put it in drive.

We have spent a small fortune and are at our wits end and still no go. Thankyou to anyone that can help us get mobile once more.

That was a nightmare to read and make sense of; what happened to sentences?

If it's just had the radiator changed; then has it lost some transmission fluid? The fluid cooler almost certainly goes through the rad. Have you checked the gearbox dipstick - following the handbook procedure?

Make sure that you are following the handbook procedure exactly - particularly if it requires the engine to be running.
