Does anyone have (or heard) the same problem as me? On most journeys of say 30 minutes or more, the ignition barrel gets warm which in turn gives you a warm key when you remove it from the ignition. I emailed HJ who suggested a possible electrical fault, I took it into Temple-Honda in Harlow this morning, they found nothing, they contacted Honda UK, and they were no wiser proclaiming they had not heard of it before either, but promising to monitor the situation? The CRV is only months old with 2,500 miles. Any suggestions would be appreciated and many thanks anyway. Regards Chris7

I understand that the Auto CR-V has a solenoid that stops the key being removed unless the gearbox is in Park.
It is the constant flow of electricity around this solenoid that is warming the key, and quite normal - I am told.
