Hello,
I'm considering the purchase of a roof box for my 1999 Vectra Estate. As I have never considered a roof box before I'd like to know if there are any makes/types I should avoid etc.
I've already had someone tell me that it doesn't really matter where I buy the box itself, but I should buy compatible roof bars from the dealer.
All advice appreciated.
Kind regards,
Cyrill666

has it got roof rails?
i used thule system on mondeao, it was pants, sometimes slipped back. i have really large long thule roof box. it can hold 3 large suitcases.
i used the system on my bmw estate with new thule roof rail holder feet.
it was fantastic. never slipped.
but boxes are great, you can even do 120mph (on an old airport race track, fully loaded)
and they are fine.

When buying one, check it has good seals, water gets forced in at speed and the stuff inside gets wet if the seals are pants.

Reasonable prices, good stock and know their business. Give them a ring or drop them an email for advice. I picked up my Thule box from them, delivery was swift and I couldn't get a better price anywhere.

Yep - got my 'Weekender' there years ago so they've been around a long time and the prices are good. They're based near Sevenoaks in Kent (Borough Green).
