Is SEAT discontinuing in the UK?

I read that SEAT plan to discontinue manufacturing cars by 2030. I’m considering buying an Ateca. Will there be problems with spares availability or will Cupra be the source?

News reports late in 2023 suggested that SEAT cars would cease to produce new models from 2030, but since then there have been varying reports suggesting that this was incorrect, and also that the brand would be reborn as a mobility company. Regardless, manufacturers generally offer 10 years of part support once a vehicle goes out of production, and there is also the fact that SEAT uses a lot of common parts with the rest of the Volkswagen Group, so we would be surprised if parts supply were an issue in the future.
