I now have a silver Rover and have noticed a few flecks of light blue paint of the bonnet, windscreen and wing mirror. How can i go about removing these without damaging the exsisting paint and plastic of the wing mirror?

Guess you don't know what type of paint it is, so I'd try white spirit, first.
Maybe some petrol.
It might be shifted with polish.If it works, you'll obviosly need to get THIS off the screen,too, with spirit.
If you start on T cut, type cleaners, beware abrasive action, especially on glass.
Should these be no good, a visit to a bodyshop & see if they could do it with a coarser compound polish.
