has any body experienced problems with the excessive use of easy start on a diesel engine,such as engine damage and causing the engine to lock up?

Yes it would seem engines become addicted to it. Could be damaged pistons/crank/rods/pins/bearings, but who really knows?

Hi Rob,
Yes, I've had plenty of experience with this damn stuff... Throw it away as the engine does become addicted to it. It also washes the oil off the bores and knackers the engine. Best advice is to fit some type of air heater mechanism in the air intake.
