HPI checks not showing Cat C/D's? - BMal555

I was looking at Nissan Micra on Gumtree and in some cases the HPI check has picked up on a Cat C/D (https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-micra-1.2-eo10llr-direct-from-ins-co/1256351295) but in others the car is listed as a Cat C/D in the description but the HPI check has not picked anything up (https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-micra-5dr-manual/1253325591 or https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-micra-2011-1.2-manual-for-sale-/1257289205). Are HPI checks not always reliable?

Only if you use the VIN (chassis number to us old codgers) do you get any chance and i mean chance of a HPI check being correct. Most people don't do that and Auto trader and others will not let you exclude them from the search, so time is wasted going manually through them.

IF you do look at any cat c/d car make sure the airbags have not been removed.
