I've mentioned how useful I've found enema syringes for brake flushing, and how useful other syringes can be for things like cleaning carburretors, though syringes seem to be quite hard to get hold of in The Yook..

If you've got one, try skooshing the brush head on your electric toothbrush out with a hypodermic pressure jet along its drve shaft axis... Read more

I've seen turkey baster 'syringes' being used to suck out hydraulic power steering fluid from the reservoir (e.g. on Scotty Kilmer's YT video). 'Proper' syringes probably are better as they likely hold more fluid.

I used a hand pump (obtained from the local indie motor parts / equipment store,m sadly now closed [retirement]) to do this to clean out / replace my car's PS fluid....

Check PCV Crankcase (Breather) Valve which can block / partially block. Basically excessive crankcase pressure pushes sump soil past any oil weak spot including external oil seals, gaskets, valve oil seals etc. If partially blocked it may improve on a long run as things properly warm through.PS Easy cheap fix so worth doing anyway. PS You still might have to change the gasket if it's been compromised.
