I am contemplating parking close to a Park and I am a bit confused by the road signage.

The Parking signs(on one side of the road) all indicate the following signage... Read more

My budget is up to 9,000. Annual mileage around 6,000. Mostly A roads and once a month 110 miles to Lake district.

While procrastinating, I over think, car prices became silly.I... Read more

Unfortunately couldn't agree deal.

Also advisory on tyre and brakes concerned me. Neither should ever be necessary in my view with a meticulously maintained car. Looking at MoT history means I'll probably never buy anything!...

I've seen PMs and Governments come and go since Harold Wilson. I can say there's only one constant. Invariably after a few months they manage to make the previous lot look fantastic. So yeah celebrate Boris' demise now but will you be thinking the same in twelve months? Thirty six months? I highly doubt it. In all that time only one PM has broken this cast iron rule. So yes I'll reserve my celebration until its clearly an improvement but I won't be holding my breath.

Hi

My air con has stopped working. When I turn it on, I hear a light 'sizzling' sound from behind the dash, and no cool air. It has never had a gas top-up, so I'm hoping that's all that's needed on my 7-year old car.... Read more

I've had similar sound on two Mercs and despite having a proper vacuum, dry, leak check and refill on one of them within a few weeks the problem returned.

Never found out the true issue as both were sold before I investigated further, so be prepared for a bigger issue.

Looks like it may have adaptive headlights. There may be an internal fault within the headlight or as the car has previous damage , it may have the wrong light fitted . Also check level sensor on suspension.

I can see this working well as I’m sure were aware of the accuracy of our satnav’s when it comes to speed limits.

I live on a 20MPH street and my satnav showed it was 30MPH for near on 2 years until corrected to 20 but an update 2 months ago it shows no speed limit at all, maybe they just gave up with councils up and down the country changing speed limits more often than we get a change in the weather. Again UK and eu units aren't the same but the signs are 100kmph means 62. 80 equils 50. 50 equils 31 plenty of scope for computer messing up and slamming on brakes miss Reading signs. Especially at uk's land border expect to see rear endings at clones

May even mess up on main land who knows

When it comes to speed most folk allow emotion, not rationality, to rule their behaviours.

Assume m/way average speed limit is (say) 50mph for 10 miles during maintenance. Come up behind a car at 47mph resolutely following their indicated speed of 50mph....

Anyone own one and what's your actual mpg. Seen on the real mpg here people getting over the 64 mpg claimed. But on most cars for sale pictures of dash say 48mpg. I'm getting 42 from my current car bmw xdrive so looking to improve mpg in next car considerably if I'm to swop (due to high fuel prices). Any other recommendations welcome. I drove a Skoda citigo over 15,000 miles (1.0 litre) and achieved 65.9 mpg calculated on full - full readings. Savings can be possible, but it requires some constraint when it comes to your right foot.
