I recently test drove a new (100 miles) Hyundai i10 N line. The clutch biting point was very high. Is this something to be concerned about, or this normal on some makes?

There were no other issues with the clutch.... Read more

If you buy a Tesla you have to do it online. There are no dealers. There have been cases of scammers sending false bank details and using them to defraud Tesla buyers.

Agree they should be able to take secure payments online, however it's not difficult to send a test payment of a £1. If that appears on your online account you're good to go with the rest knowing it's definitely not a scam.

Interesting, how does your policy compare to Land Rovers own brand extended warranty? I’ve got the choice to make by the end of this month. It’s between the two of you, but it’s difficult to compare.

Yes, no problem with that . Obviously the system will not work as effectively with the ac compressor out of action.

Apparently the Corsa is as British as sausage and mash. Suggest the writer learns a bit about what they're writing before an article goes live, otherwise get it checked by someone who does.

I am looking at purchasing a BMW 530i which is a petrol BMW.
I have seen the V5 and everything adds up.
However when entering the registration into DVLA‘s car checker it says that the vehicle is a diesel model.
Has anyone come across this before and how do I go about rectifying it?

Something doesn’t add up here . When the mot tester enters the vin or registration number, the vosa database automatically enters whether it’s Petrol or diesel .

I agree, the DVLA would not allow a MOT station to corrupt its database.

If you are interested in a 5 series the 3litre is more desirable and a more relaxed drive than the 2litre in a fairly heavy car. Whatever try to seek out one with as many extras as you think practical and the later models have the BMW service record in the I drive. Variable damper control is worth having There seem to be more hybrid 530e around than the 530i. There are two potential water leaks to be aware of, failed condensation barrier in the rear doors and the yellow grommit that blanks the steering column on right hand drive so UK passenger side. Rainwater can end up in the rear passenger footwells for both.

Hi there

Recently purchased a used VW from a VW dealer, utilising all the lockdown terms - remote viewing, 7 day return policy etc. Purchase included a part exchange. I noticed a couple of issues with the vehicle which I flagged by phone within an hour or two of leaving the dealer, and raised the possibility of returning the vehicle. After some discussions over next day or two, I decided to return the car. However the dealer had already moved my part ex on and is currently saying there is no way to retrieve it. I am being offered the part ex value of the car, but will be without a vehicle.... Read more

Your only legal rights are to return the car for a full refund, for the net cost, to you, of that car. Your p/x is a separate and legally unconnected transaction.

Hi folks, sorry, I'm a bit confused right now, this just happened about twenty minutes ago...

I nudged a SUV's towbar with my bumper at a roundabout. It was entirely my fault, he moved, I started to creep, and then looked right to see if it was clear. During that time he stopped, which caused me to nudge his towbar. It was my fault for not watching carefully enough, there's no question there. There is a small dent on my bumper. I did not see any visible damage on his.... Read more
