2012 vauxhall astra 2.0 diesel,,jumped in car this morning started with no problems got to end of my street and she stalled,,would not start again just making that clicking noise..i tried to jump start it and nothing just clicking sound,,,anyone have any ideas of what the problem is..cheers Read more

Think I had a Gunson dwell meter as well. Don't have one here though, and meters that do dwell, though still available on the Internyet, are uncommon and a bit pricy, even for unknown Chinese brands.
I'd offer to buy yours, but the postage is likely to be the killer....
I got my new Driving Licence late last week, and yes, the hated EU Symbol has gone - not on my old licence as I had an English Flag sticker over it - but why, oh why, has it taken 11 months to get rid of that EU flag? We left the EU on 31st January 2020, and passports have not had the EU brand for a couple of years.

Oh really? Tell me this are you actually from Northern Ireland? I doubt very much that Northern Ireland will unite with the Republic, I know I live there and like many I doubt and don't want this to be the case, that's not to say it may not happen but really this sounds like someone who lives in England and doesn't have a clue about Northern Ireland!

The fact that the car started no problem then stalled very shortly later , tends to suggest that this is not a battery or alternator problem . Needs checking properly.
