No Crank - no start - AA report P008A - Fuel low pressure circuit - pressure too low. Sporadic faults. Engine seized. Car just stopped (cut-out) - no loud noises or smoke or overheating. I want to confirm if the engine has seized. Test1. Tried: putting gear in 5th - handbrake off - tried pushing van - won't budge. Test2. Removed Glow plugs and tried to crank it by hand (Torq socket and bar) = won't budge. Are there any other tests I can try? Read more
Struggling to find a coolant leak. It's a slow drip, when engine running it's faster. Looks like it may be coming from the knock sensor. Anyone else had this? Do I have to replace the sensor? Read more
Let's hope there are no cracks anywhere then ....:-)

The minimum load rating you can legally use is what’s specified in the owners manual or on the tyre pressure information on the drivers door pillar or fuel filler cap.
it’s ok to have a higher load rating. Personally I wouldn’t mix different load ratings.
This is not a car worth overlooking after such a strong recommendation from SLO.

I had a side to side collision, where each car got a bump and graze with both cars still drivable. I am not going to make a claim against my car insurance, but suspect the third party will make a claim, and say that it was 100% my fault. I have informed my insurers of the incident, but not made a claim

That last point is SO important. Now that cars don't have proper bumpers (and they haven't for years, going through the chromium ornament stage to the current non-existence), even a minor shunt in a car park could do unseen damage behind the cosmetic damage to the plastic 'bumpers'.
Car do have proper bumpers, they are behind the "cosmetic" plastic covers. Immensely strong and bolted to the "chassis" legs. better than the protection we used to get in older cars....
After my "experience" of the MG Zs it has been all plain sailing and nothing to complain about the Sportage. Stress free motoring, if not quite as light on fuel as the Zs. locally seemps to be 30-33 mpg which is entirely local short runs.
So quite happy to have a large portion of humble pie to eat.... Read more

question related to charging rather than specific to the audi e-tron. If I only do around 300 miles a month and I had a fully electric car with a range of around 300 miles, would I expect 1-2 charges a month, or if I just do very low mileage over 1-2 weeks would the charge sill last a month ? any views or experience on this ? thanks Read more

Ex wife bought a new Seat Ibiza in 2013 for £9k.
WBAC have offered £4K for it but as they are retailing for well over £5k so hope to get £4.5k on a private sale. If so depreciation works out at £623 pa. Pretty decent I would say. To be fair car has been trouble free over this time.
In the UK looking likely manufacturers will be liable in accidents involving cars being driven in autonomous mode.

Until this question of who is liable in the event of an accident involving a autonomous vehicle whether it be - driver, supplying dealer or manufacturer the mass-market take up of these vehicles isn't going anywhere.
