Good news , plans to halt production of the I 3 have been scrapped !
James Mays recommends them and has one in his garage.
With a body made carbon fibre, sets made from recycled bottles, even the key is made from castor beans in a factory powered by hydro it should be renamed the Greta.
I loved the idea of the BMW motorcycycle engine in the rear just in case the charge runs out, this car is an icon. Brilliant performance but expensive to make, even the £31,850 price tag with the government grant which dissapears soon, doesn't cover the manufacturing costs. Read more

Interesting insight from Avant from when he learned to drive. I had my lessons in a 1964 Vauxhall Viva and practiced, with 'L' plates affixed, in a company van when out and about working. A Bedford CF with column change and three gears. What simple vehicles they were. Had 6 lessons at 17 shillings and sixpence a lesson and the seventh lesson was my test which was the lesson fee plus £1 for the test. Passed first time. Happy days in 1967. The whole lot for £7.12.5p in new money. Cheers Concrete Read more
I took and failed my test in a mini-1965. This car had 2 sliding front windows-one away from the front and one away from the rear-and in those days driving students were taught to do arm waving left hand signals out of the window-remember?
I passed the second time in the same car when I used the REAR front sliding window and not the front. Well done British School of Motroring!
I have had my Jazz serviced regularly with a main honda dealer (has a full service history with honda dealers - bought 3 years old - it's a 13 plate). Now we have moved to Tunbridge Wells and don't have a honda dealer nearby. Not sure going out of the way to another town for servicing makes sense. Have people had good experience servicing with an independent garage/servicer? How do i go about finding one locally? Read more
Good to know... Thanks!
So driving over the tops of the hills in the dark i hit a puddle at around 50mph, it slowed me down to around 35mph. After my car lost power when i was askimg it to labour, 6th gear after 4000rpm. I have a clio 200 so 4000 is 40mph in 5th lol . It is also doing it in lower gears when im going up hill etc.. if i make it easy work for the engine its fine. Checked the engine bay and looks dry. Any ideas what the problem could be? Read more
Took the car out again for a more intense drive. Revved it right up and drove as i would on track and it was absolutely fine. The splutter when it does loose power has imoroved slightly but the loss is still there when i put in a higher gear and ask it to work harder. Dont know if i should just drive it for afew days with a higher rev and see if that improves it? Maybe replace the air filter anyway?
Hi guys just a thumbs up for this new car storage company called Surrey Hills Car Storage, based in Surrey/Hampshire. I have transferred my vehicle from a different car storage as they increased their prices. This new company Surrey Hills Car Storage charge £99+VAT, I am now paying £118.80p per month and they have options for Carc*** dehumidifier chamber system. I am based in London near Heathrow and their distance is very quick and convenient. Check their website if you are looking for a long/short term car storage, mention Jazz and speak to Aaron or Adam the owners. Read more
I'd give a mate a few quid to leave it on his drive.......
Hi folks,
First message here but looking for advice regarding being pulled for no insurance.... Read more
Presumably the OP was caught out by ANPR which flagged the car up as 'uninsured'? Unfortunately, ANPR is quite good at catching deliberate miscreants but also catches out the 'innocents' in a situation like this.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and the wise thing to do would have been to phone the ins co the following morning before driving the car. But in all honesty, how many would have done that?...
We ordered a new car early December for collection in March. Having just paid a visit to the garage to sort out a few things we noticed that a car to our exact specification was on display in the showroom.
Whilst I'm not sure if that car has been out on the road it's obviously available for potential customers to sit in and use/try out the controls etc.... Read more
You can always look at the chassis number in the windscreen and see if it corresponds to your order.
In selling My 2017 MG ZS and choosing not to buy either a new one OR an HS I told MGmotorsuk and the dealer that I wasn't prepared to be a beta tester for the HS, much as i liked it,...
Test-driving again yesterday, this time helping my elder daughter choose a new car to replace her 2015 Hyundai i10.
It's never missed a beat, and is Olivia's second i10 following four Toyota Yarises. Another i10 was always a possibility, and as a new Yaris is coming later this year we thought there should be good deals on the current one. She would ideally like a slightly bigger boot, so I suggested the Fabia to go on the short-list.... Read more
Wonder if Skidpan still has his?.
We may never know .... :-)
On my way to Manchester Airport this morning. Know my way but used the sat nav for reassurance. Get to M56 from M6 coming north and Junction 6/7 is closed so I head towards Altringham thinking the sat nav will take me north then east.
End up by Old Trafford and sat nav is showing I’m 3 minutes from the airport which is nonsense. How can this happen? Wanted to take me down an obscure side street as the final destination. Ended up driving round City Centre looking for airport signs the old fashioned way to get there. Bit stressful!
Checked the destination entry and it’s correct. Weird. Read more
I have had a few expectances recently where all GPS signals are down.
That's car and both mobile phones (or even more if the kids are in the car)....
Should have considered that before buying a carbon fibre bodied car then (or at least before giving a loan of it to his daughter!). It has a carbon fibre intensive structure to keep the weight down to a very impressive (for a hybrid) 1500kg. Otherwise it would be neither as fast nor efficient.
