The Ford website makes no mention of the split 1year Ford warranty/2yrs dealer warranty. Has this changed? Does the dealer warranty only work with the supplying dealer if this is how the warranty is still structured?

My neighbour has a 61 plate mondeo estate tdci 2.0 uses it as a landscape garden vehicle pulling a trailer into s london and the city daily from colchester, cleans it and then it's his family car. Just had a major service , did everything needed and passed mot no advisories. 165,000 miles to date.

Its not really hot off the press news, its been known for some time that DI petrols would be fitted with particle filters in the future but it looks like VW are as said above getting ahead of the game in an attempt to get some good PR for a change.

A few weeks ago I put my car in for the annual M o T test, it passedO.K with a few advisories ,one of which was windscreen view obstruction.

This consisted of the mounting for the sat-nav which was as low as I could get it slightly to the right of the center of the screen,the old road tax disc mounting,and an old MoT pass sticker about 5 cms. square in the top left hand corner of the screen.... Read more

Bear in mind that Japan drives on the left just as we do. Some Swindon produced Hondas have been exported to Japan, it seems unlikely they would build two differently reinforced R/H drive cars on the same line.

Not as unlikely as you might think. The Japanese home market cars are quite different to ours, even for the same model.

And trucks have a servicing regime to go with it!...
