Volvo have been working with SimBin a Swedish gaming company to create a free to download game for Volvo as written about this weekend in the Telegraph.

It is to promote the new Volvo S60 due next year giving the opportunity to 'drive' the car around a pair of tracks. They have also included some previous model Volvo's to drive too.

The Game is ready for download at tinyurl.com/q7b7po (Volvocars website)

The download is 588Mb and requires the following hardware to run, minimum 128Mb graphics card though 512Mb is recommended and 2Gb RAM is also required. XP or Vista though support of Vista is limited.

Mods please remove if you think this inappropriate for this forum. Read more

I don't normally play games on my PC but ran it maxed graphics (I have an HD3650 card) and with the 5.1 surround sound I thought it pretty impressive for a freebie.
Just need to get a steering wheel now as driving simulators are a bit of a handful on a keyboard.

I am not sure if it?s a characteristic of the power steering on this car but the steering wheel doesn?t ?self-correct? all the way back to the straight ahead position when you turn a corner. At low speeds if I turn the wheel a little left or right and let go ? the car will continue to turn, even if I accelerate.

Its also very light when on the motorway, which means I find myself constantly making tiny steering adjustments when travelling straight.

I think this car has electric power steering, and not having driven a car with it on before I?m not sure if the above is a problem or a characteristic. Can anyone help?

(Car was bought 3 months old from a main dealer and is regularly serviced at a main dealer.)

Yes, the tyres are wearing evenly. Its been the same since it was purchased about 4 years ago with 8k on the clock. I drove it recently which reminded me of the issue.

This more general to any car than just a Focus but I want to know the exact steps to paint plastic, and which products are the best to use?

Plastic primer and paint with plasticiser added.
Are they already painted or you want to paint old bare ones?

As there is a Court Case pending the thread has (temporarily) been removed until its been to Court as there was a lot of speculation in there (mainly ill-informed, not least by me) hiding it prevents it becoming searchable by Google and limiting damage to the site. It will be resurrected once its been to Court. Read more

Does anyone know how to turn off the timed auto off when the radio is on but ignition off. There doesn't appear to be an Acc position on the ignition key, and to reset after off I have to actually start the engine! The time period appears to vary as well. Very annoying!!

I don think you can - from memory its a dealer change item, and even then you can still only have it at a further fixed time - something like 30 mins max

Hello,
wonder if anyone on here can help with this problem.
Went to lift the bonnet on my Focus the other evening and found that the key wouldn't budge in the lock - no movement whatsoever :(

The car was locked at the time, but I don't think that this should have made a difference - I am pretty sure I have unlocked the bonnet release before with the car being locked.

Anyway, the hand book is no help at all.
We have sprayed the lock liberally with WD40 and it's made no difference.

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem before?
I have found lots of people who have suffrered with the lock turning but the catch not releasing, but I can't find anything on line about any ones bonnet lock seizing completely and not turning at all.

Until last week, the bonnet release lock was free and working just fine.

Any assistance at all with this problem would be really very much appreciated :)

Thanks. Read more

Firstly unlock the central locking and open the drivers door, thus disarming any alarm that may be fitted.

Spray more WD40 through and around the bonnet locking mechanism and wait for a couple of minutes or so. Next insert the dummy key (not the remote key), use one hand to push down/apply pressure onto the bonnet over the position of the locking mechanism (not too much pressure otherwise a dent may occur) whilst at the same time turning the key to position 1, then release bonnet hand pressure and turn key to position 2 whilst at the same time lifting the bonnet.

If the above doesn't work then the locking mechanism may well be seized and I'd suggest a phone call or trip to a Ford garage (or similar) to see what they would recommend.

I noticed that one side of the exhaust was suddenly hanging down. Seems like a metal bracket has parted from a rear silencer and overstressed the remaining rubber mount.
Hoping that the main dealer will sort this under warranty. Car is only 17 months old but the exhaust system looks very rusty. My aluminised Passat exhaust had no significant corrosion at 6 years.

The rear section of the twin exhaust was replaced under warranty. No argument.

Thats a big plus for them, they do seem to be quick to honour warranty.

I see some nice looking exhausts under some new cars, but even the aluminized ones show signs of corrosion at the weld seams.

My hilux exhaust looked every bit as poor as the front section you describe after only 1 winter..it's now painted in heatproof matt black, hopefully it will help, but if it doesn't it looks much better.
