Dacia Reviews
New Cars
Good:
Great value for money. Spacious and practical cabin. Available with all-wheel drive for less than £12,000. 5 Stars for Duster 125 TCe 4WD.
Bad:
Feels dated. 1.6 Petrol-engine loud at motorway speeds. Rust in the seams was a problem especially on early white Indian built ones.
Good:
Duster gets an updated look and better quality interior but should keep same affordable prices.
Bad:
Not arriving until spring 2018.
Good:
Practical and rugged. Available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Entry-level models cost less than £10,000.
Bad:
Disappointing handling and refinement. Rear windows are vulnerable to damage. Full-size bulkhead costs extra. Pick-ups offer better payload capacity.
Good:
Britain's cheapest estate car from £7295. Diesel from £9395. 1.0 3-cylinder engine replaced 1.2 engine from 2017.
Bad:
Prices starting to creep up to Fiat Tipo levels.
Good:
Still very good value for money. TCe engine is ideal for around town.
Bad:
Diesel is economical but noisy.
Good:
Excellent value for money especially compared to Clio with the same engines. 1.5 dCi and 0.9 TCe available.
Bad:
£5995 base model is basic, lacking radio and spare wheel.
Good:
Chunkier Sandero with raised suspension. Offers good value for money.
Bad:
No air conditioning on Ambiance model. Not a real 4x4. Diesel 105g/km CO2 so not VED free.
