Does my Citroen C5 have a mass air flow meter fault?

I'm told I may have a mass air flow meter problem on my Citroen C5, but don't want to go to unnecessary expense. The car is very flat, especially down at the bottom. It feels like something is holding it back (no engine management light). Can a faulty AFM cause this?

Maybe. More likely a blocked air filter or a stuffed cat converter. Try taking the air filter out first and see if that cures it. If it does, get a new air filter.
