Most reliable SUV/crossover for £5500?
I want to buy a second hand 4x4. I'd like an SUV or crossover that is reliable, as I travel a lot on motorways and country roads. The running costs also need to be low, along with affordable repair costs and fuel economy. What do you suggest I buy for £5500?

Probably a Honda CR-V 2.0iVTEC 2nd or 3rd generation. Not very economical, though.

Low-down pull from refined chain cam engines. Walk-through cabin on CVT auto models. Large boot can be increased by sliding the rear seats forward. Lasting very well.
Roomy and versatile. Very comfortable, pleasant and relaxing to drive. not at all cumbersome. 2.2 i-CTDI diesel is excellent.
