Why is the low coolant light on?

My Volvo XC60 has done 91,000 miles and runs well; however, the low level coolant light has come on four times in the past 15 months. I have topped up the coolant and my local garage have done a pressure test on the system, which was normal, but I am concerned. Can you please give any advice?

I would guess that if the timing belt, tensioner and waterpump have not been replaced the villain will be a leaking waterpump. Belt, tensioner and waterpump are all overdue anyway.
