Should I buy a Volkswagen Scirocco in light of the emissions scandal?

You may have been asked something along these lines already. Having undertaken some extensive research, I have recently decided to purchase a used Scirocco. The recent emissions scandal has however placed some doubt in my mind. I'm looking at a diesel model (2013/2014) - either the older 2.0 TDI 140 engine or the newer 150 one. Is there any reason to discount either of these?
