Jaguar XE engine choice?

When will Jaguar replace the Ford based 240PS engine in the XE as I don't want to purchase an old specification, but I don't want to wait beyond the change to 16-plate to make a choice between this and other cars?

Next year. JLR has yet to give a date. But as long as you can put up with 30-35mpg fuel consumption there is absolutely nothing wrong with this powerful and well proven chain cam manifold in head engine.
