What's the best wheel size for the Ford Fiesta?

My daughter is keen to buy a one yaer old Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost Titanium 125 and has located two she is intersted in. One has 16-inch wheels and the other, which has a better set of extras, has 17-inch wheels. Do you think the 17-inch wheels should be avoided due to them providing a hard ride or would they be okay?

Ride is harder, but not as hard as it used to be in Fiestas with 17-inch wheels. The rims are also more fragile. 16s are more sensible.
