Why won't my Cosa start?

I have a 2009 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 Cdti with a manual gearbox, which will no longer start. The dashboard is displaying a "F" above the mileage, but I can't find what this indicates. There's nothing on in the manual. Can you help?

It would be best at this time to have a diagnostic check carried out which should then show a fault code( ie P---- 4 numbers)
