Why aren't British drivers as courteous as Australian drivers?

Having recently visited Australia, driven from Melbourne to Sydney and driven around Perth and within rural areas, it was a welcome return to pleasurable driving. There was no aggressive driving and everyone adhered to the speed limits, which, within urban areas, changed frequently. And the big result is that there were NO speed bumps anywhere, apart from within shopping mall parking exits and entries because of the amount of pedestrians going to and from cars and shops.

That's interesting. The cops are very strict on speeding in Australia. I guess they have to be when so many of the population are descended from convicts.
