Can I plan a route without smart motorways?
Is there any way to find a route from Bookham Surrey to Newcastle upon Tyne which avoids all the SMART suicidal motorways ?

If you use Google Maps to plan your route you can select 'avoid motorways' as an option, so it will calculate a route without motorways. However, this will add approximately two hours to your journey, as well as likely increasing the cost in terms of fuel.
