Why don't charging points have card readers?

Why don't EV charging stations have card readers so we can avoid all the phone apps?

This is happening. More and more providers are including contactless payment on their chargers as the government increases pressure to do so. It's certainly a lot easier than having to download numerous apps: www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/driving-1/2019-07/public.../
