Does having a first MoT performed early fix that as the date for the next MoT?

Does having a first MoT performed early fix that as the date? Or is it okay if done within a month of the due date?

The MoT can be carried out up one month before it runs out and keep the same renewal date. Obviously, if the car fails due to a dangerous fault, you will not be able to legally drive the car unless the faults are rectified or you are taking it to another garage to have another MoT carried out.
