All-new Audi TT available to order, priced from £29,770

Audi has announced that the all-new TT is available to order now, with first deliveries scheduled for December. Prices start at £29,770 for the petrol-powered 230PS Sport model, rising to £35,335 for the 230PS quattro S Tronic in S line trim. A 310PS TTS variant will be available to order from October.

The engine range from launch consists of two options, one petrol and one diesel. The 2.0-litre petrol produces 230PS and is offered with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with a six-speed S tronic automatic available as an option, coupled with quattro four-wheel drive. The diesel is a 2.0-litre TDI with 184PS and is only available with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive.

The diesel is the most efficient engine in the range, with emissions of 110g/km and official economy of 67.3mpg. 0-62mph takes 7.1 seconds and top speed is 150mph. The petrol engine manages 47.9mpg and has emissions of 137g/km. Top speed is 155mph and 0-62mph takes 6.0 seconds. The petrol is available in either front-drive or four-wheel drive quattro forms, though quattro buyers must have an automatic transmission.

Initially there are two trim levels – Sport and S line. Both include the high-tech ‘virtual cockpit’ digital dashboard, with a full-LED instrument binnacle. It does away with traditional dials, instead displaying all vital information including navigation on a pinsharp LCD screen.

Other standard gear includes sports seats, air conditioning, MMI touch pad control for infotainment, adaptive dynamics, Bluetooth, keyless go, 18-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension, LED running lights and a speed-dependent rear spoiler. Moving up to S line trim adds full-LED headlights, larger 19-inch alloy wheels and S line styling.

Options include Google Maps based navigation with Street View. This includes local fuel station pricing, flight and train information, Audi music streaming and social media access. Additionally, owners can specify a 12 speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system with 12 speakers.
