DVSA Recalls: Land Rover forced to recall 14,215 cars over safety fault

Land Rover has issued a safety recall for more than 14,000 Range Rover Sport models due to an issue with the rear spoiler cover.

The Land Rover recall applies to cars built between February 2009 and March 2011 but does not affect Autobiography versions.

The recall states that the upper cover of the rear spoiler may delaminate and possibly detach from the main body of the rear spoiler. If there are no signs of the spoiler assembly delaminating a new specification adhesive will be applied.

Where the outer surface of the rear spoiler has already detached and has been lost or damaged, a new rear spoiler will be installed.

Volvo -XC60-(1)

Volvo has also issued a recall for its XC60 and XC90 models over turbo problems. The thrust bearing in the turbocharger may not be robust enough, according to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). This issue applies to 2,083 XC60 and XC90 models built between February and September 2019.

A DVSA recall notice has also been issued for the Fiat 500 over a driveshaft problem. The recall affects 1705 cars built from September 2020 to June 2021. Affected cars will be inspected by Fiat dealers and have the driveshaft replaced were necessary.
