I've seen the Tevion car radio on sale at Aldi this week & I thought I needed an upgrade. I would like some help from people that might know about doing this.
I've removed the cage & bought the new stereo. The new one didn't come with a new cage, but it seems like it fits in the original one ok.
A couple of problems; the existing aerial adapter will not fit into the new stereo. (its not long enough)

What adaptor would I need for this?
Also the existing ISO connectors have an extra set of pins that the new connnector doesn't account for, at a guess I'd say these are probably for the steering wheel controls. Could I buy an adapter for these too? (not a major thing for me but would llike to know anyway)

Don't know about the 2 extra pins, but the aerial just needs an adapter, a couple of quid from Halfords.

You need an antenna adaptor.
Also vauxhalls tend to have 12v permanent and 12v switched transposed on ISO connectors.
The connector is for the steering controls and display on dashboard, VDO and some Philips radios can use these, some SONYs can with an expensive interface, I don't know about the Tevions though, but it needs an interface not a simple pinout adapter.

Yeah I heard about the 2 wire being swapped around on the ISO connector. I have identified these two now but I was wondering of an easy was of swapping the pins around in the connector block.

You normally swop those 2 wires round on the radio loom that came with the new radio.
Normally the red & yellow wires have a bullet connection in them you just swop them round using those.

Thanks for the help. I've tried swapping those 2 pins around on the wire loom & it isn't coming out! I've tried sticking paperclips & small flathead screwdrivers to see if they are held on by a catch but its not happening.

Just swap the two wires. There is no need to go to the hassle of extracting the pins from the socket.
As for the aerial adaptor, you need a PC5-27 - DIN to ISO Antenna adaptor.

It seems as though the wires are crimped onto the connector? So if I pulled it and the wire came out I would have to re-crimp it.

In that case cut the relevant wires, and rejoin either by soldering and heat shrinking, or using crimps / bullet connectors / spade connections.
