....you need to get one of these. At long last Haynes have published it.

I ordered a Megane 2 manual from Haynes a while back, quick and efficient service from them.

Never really trusted Haynes - they're too big a fan of "carefully prise" rather than "remove small screw and lift out".

Do any other people make manuals? They don't do one for the Toledo - I know I could just get a Golf one, but I also find them to be pretty inaccurate sometimes.

How easy is it to get a workshop manual out of a manufacturer?

Haynes used to be "the bible" I used to buy one as soon as i got a car, and read it at bedtime. It had all I needed to know.

Now they are more and more generic, less model specific, and in my opinion a waste of time. I hate the "replacement is the reverse of removal" comment. Frequently it aint.

In fact IN MY OPINION they are now so useless I havent bothered with one for the wifes clio. I looked at it, and it tells me nothing I dont know or cant see with my own eyes or experience.

Agreed - Haynes must be treated with caution.
Presumably one day they'll dismantle something with oil and dirt on it.

:^D Is that some sarcasm I detect there?

Disagree, I have Clio one and it is very informative, likewise Mondeo, their bike manuals are also good though they dont do a ZRX one.

I have always bought a Haynes manual, although the Laguna has been out for six years now so it is a bit disappoining that it's taken this long to produce the manual. The manual for New Megane is well worth the money, it taught me that it is easier to remove the wheel arch liner to replace the headlamp bulb.

My only complaint with Haynes is that they appear to be using cheaper paper, the older manuals were more durable IMO. And a boot is a boot, not a trunk. Grrrr!

Have they started calling the bonnet the hood and the hood the roof?

They'll be urging us to abandon our cars and head for the 'train station' (whatever that may be) next.

Down with creeping US linguistic imperialism!

I like the "dome lamp"

Where do they think I live - Greenwich?

i use haynes manuals as a help rather than a bible and they are getting worse.
I particularly hate their schematic wiring diagrams as you cannot follow them anymore.
Oh and i very rarely buy them anymore unless i have a model specific problem and i cant get the information from anywhere else and there isnt an open copy in halfords and not one in the boot of a car i get..............

Funnily enough my library of workshop manuals extends to a Toledo, albeit a Triumph !
