Top 10: Best petrol cars for company car tax
Company car tax is calculated based on the car’s price when new – including any options – and a percentage rate derived from its CO2 emissions. Therefore cars with the least expensive purchase price along with fuel-efficient engines tend to offer the lowest company car tax liability.

Peugeot 108 1.0 VTi Access 3dr
P11D £8390
CO2 emissions 95g/km
Benefit in kind tax band (2016/17) 16%
Annual BIK tax payable at 20%/40% £268/£536
The 108 is the cheapest way into a Peugeot company car. Like its 107 predecessor the 108 is a joint project with Citroën and Toyota, although there is more distinctive styling for all three this time around and the 108 looks every bit a member of the current Peugeot car family. Toyota's entry-level 1.0-litre engine is better for BIK tax, than Peugeot's more powerful 1.2-litre.
