Do I have to declare to no fault accident when shopping for insurance?

Somebody reversed into my car at a supermarket doing about £800 of damage. They left a note on my windscreen with their telephone number, asking me to contact them. They admitted liability to their insurance company, who are paying for the repair. If I go onto a price comparison site, do I have to declare that I've been involved in an accident? Would it affect my quote?

Yes you do because though you have been involved in a 'no fault' claim there will be a record of it on the MID database.
