Does BP Ultimate diesel compare to Shell V-Power?

You confirmed last week that Shell V-Power diesel has advantages over ordinary diesel in terms of particulates and improved performance. I similarly use BP Ultimate diesel in the expectation that it should help the particulate filter in my new style Ford KA 1.3 TDCi to last longer and also appreciate the excellent performance. Am I right in assuming that the two brands are broadly comparable?

I get slightly better mpg out of BP Ultimate diesel, but V-Power diesel has the best lubricity (I've had this confirmed by petrochemists).
